The Sword and the Olive Branch: The Tragedy of the Palestinian People
$0.84
The book offers a living testimony and an investigative political study documenting the chapters of the ongoing tragedy and suffering of the Palestinian people under Israeli occupation and policies of forced displacement. The author sets out from a precise critical approach that takes apart the famous political slogan of the sword and the olive branch, revealing the behind-the-scenes negotiations and international policies that have long offered false promises of peace (the olive branch) as cover for continued military repression, settlement and the seizure of land (the sword). Through documentation and analysis, the book presents real testimonies from the camps, shedding light on the roots of the cause and the human rights violations suffered by successive Palestinian generations, making it an important political and human reference for understanding the hidden aspects of the cause from a fair Western perspective.
