The Analogies of the Advocates of Gender Mixing
$0.49
The book discusses the issue from two main angles. The first is textual, refuting the flawed analogy between ‘prolonged, continuous mixing’ (as in work and education) and the ‘incidental, slight mixing’ recognised in jurisprudence and law, such as that of a passer-by or during Hajj. The second is practical, responding to idealised claims about Western educational and work environments by presenting documented official cases and investigations from American universities that reveal the other face of the harassment and abuses resulting from such mixing, concluding by affirming the importance of the principle of blocking the means (sadd al-dhara’i) to protect society.
