The Humans

The human race stands on the threshold of a change that will guarantee it enormous progress in every field thanks to the Riemann hypothesis, and the impostor Professor Andrew Martin must obstruct that progress. Within the covers of this novel lies an extraordinary journey taken by our hero from his planet to Earth, where on his first night he is forced to walk by night, unable to communicate with humans or cope with their psychological and social disorders. Matt Haig fired his imagination and wrote The Humans, a novel classed as science fiction, in which he sets out his reflections on humans on their planet in a comic, simply philosophical mould closely tied to our present reality. This is an exceptional novelistic experiment of which our author is proud, and he hopes it wins your approval, you who love Matt Haig’s writing. Our creative author tells you: ‘I am immensely proud of this book. I have never written anything like it, and probably never will. I don’t know whether it will win your approval, but I truly hope you like it. I was very anxious after finishing it. I worked hard on writing it, so if it doesn’t win your approval, that comes down to your not loving me, because the best I can offer the world lies between its pages. I don’t want to tell you it’s a book about an alien, because you may not like books about aliens, like me. This is a book about love and murder and the reason we exist on planet Earth. It is about humans. And from that idea I drew the title.’
